TVS Motor Company was founded in the year 1978. It is a part of the TVS Group, which was originally formed in 1911 by TV Sundaram Iyengar.
The company manufactures motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, three wheelers, its parts and accessories.
Over the years, TVS Motors has become a household name in India, and its products are sold in over 60 countries across the world.
The company introduced their first two-wheeler, the TVS 50 moped, in 1980 and entered into domestic racing with it in 1984.
Fast forwards to the 2020s, TVS Motor has also been at the forefront of electric vehicle (EV) technology in India. In 2020, the company launched the TVS Iqube Electric, its first electric scooter.
