Ethos is the largest luxury watch retailer in India, with more than 60 stores spread across 20 cities. The company is an authorized retailer for over 60 luxury and premium watch brands.
It also operates through an online platform (ethoswatches.com), which has their entire collection of watches listed on the website – allowing customers to purchase online or visit one of their stores.
Ethos was founded by Yashovardhan Saboo in 2003. Born into a business family, Saboo had entrepreneurial qualities in his blood. He was fascinated by the intricate craftsmanship and elegance of luxury watches.
This combination worked well as Saboo embarked on a journey to bring some of the finest watches in the world to the Indian market.
Understanding that trust played a big role in the luxury watch market, Saboo provided brand warranty, excellent after-sales service, and assurance that the watches were genuine and directly imported from the watch company.
The results have been incredible as Ethos has reported 46% repeat customers.
Saboo also introduced the ‘Certified Pre-Owned’ watch segment, providing customers with access to authentic pre-owned luxury watches at competitive prices.
The company is also experimenting with a Loyalty Program called ‘Club Echo’ which gives customers access to watch collector events, wine tasting sessions and other rewards. This experiment has worked quite well as ‘Club Echo’ now has more than 3 lakh members.
The Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Ethos Ltd took place in May 2022 and was priced at ₹ 878 per shares.
The enthusiasm for the IPO was quite low and the stock listed at a discount on May 30, 2022.
Yet, Ethos has gone on to become one of the best performing stocks post-listing. The Ethos stock price has more than doubled since listing.
