HDFC Asset Management Company (HDFC AMC) is one of India’s largest Asset Management Companies.
The company was established as a joint venture between HDFC and Standard Life Investments in December 1999. It took almost 8 months for them to get a nod from SEBI to be accepted as an Asset Management company.
Soon after the approval, the company clocked an AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹650 Cr.
Four years after its inception, they acquired Zurich Asset Management Company taking their total AUM to ₹118 Billion.
The company’s schemes have weathered multiple market cycles and have carried a strong track record since its inception. Every one in four Indian mutual fund investors has invested in at least one of its schemes.
HDFC AMC went public in the year 2018.
